Police say arson caused fire to destroy mobile homes at King Lago's Manor-IONTB

The staff of Largo Fire Rescue and firefighters from surrounding agencies responded to the report of a fire in Lot 340 of Kings Manor Mobile Home Park. The park is located at 1399 Belcher Road in Largo. The fire broke out at around 10:45 am on October 20, 2021.

Upon arrival, the staff found a fully involved man-made house on fire. The occupant of the residence was not at home at the time. The staff successfully put out the fire and the situation was brought under control.

On Monday, October 25, 2021, Largo Police Department officers arrested 40-year-old Carie Crowley, who is now facing multiple charges related to the fire.

According to the arrest documents, Crowley was legally expelled from the unit and had no legal rights or permission to enter the property. According to reports, Crowley admitted to trying to retrieve the property at the property. The police said that during her visit to the residence, she admitted that she had accidentally set six unattended candles in the temporary candlestick.

Crowley faces first-degree burglary and arson charges.
